Giving Thanks

There are a couple of times a year when I like to thank the aides I work with and the end of the year is one of those times. I would like to give them more, but I had seven I worked with this year and it can get pretty costly. I decided to make them each a gift. It's nothing big, but it's handmade; that counts for something doesn't it?
Here's what I did.

I covered small notebooks with scrapbook paper.

I also decorated clothespins with coordinating paper and attached magnets to the back. I got the idea from Ashley's blog.

And again on coordinating paper, I mounted a well known quote by Forest Witcraft; one which is quite appropriate for those who work with children.

I packaged the three things in a clear cellophane bag and tied them with ribbon.

I also gave E's teacher a set of 6 clothespin, a small notebook and a giftcard to Borders. As a teacher, I would have liked the gift; I hope she did too!
