Amazing...

Three baby birds hatched in their nest in one of our hanging baskets.  I think they are finches.  They are so tiny and not so cute right now, but this new life is AMAZING!
They change daily and are starting to look more recognizable.  See the beak?  Their hairdos look familiar :)
And then today we had this deer visit our yard.  This was taken from the back door without a zoom lens.  Yes, he was close, and YES, he is helping himself to my hostas.  Check out the plant on the right....and I was blaming the missing leaves on the bunnies.
"You're beautiful and all, but, Stop eating my plants!  Yes, I'm talking to you!"
And here is a robin's nest from our shrub.  The robins left the nest a few weeks ago.

And that ends our virtual nature walk for today.  I hope you enjoyed yourselves.

I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.  ~George Washington Carver
