Two Saturdays ago, our Little Miss made her First Communion. The weekend brought with it so many moments now imprinted in my mind and on my heart forever. I hope she also captured all the beautiful memories and will always hold on to them.
She is certainly a lucky young girl to have many people in her life who love her and we are all very blessed to have her in our lives.
Here are some of the moments...
Four generations...
...Memere made us all laugh; I have no recollection of what she said, but I'm happy to have this photo,
And these as well...
Little Miss' Memere made her dress, using the same pattern she used for me over thirty years ago. It is not only priceless, but beautiful.
Our girl adores her cousins for sure, even if they are all boys.
And she and her brother definitely adore one another, even if they also drive each other (and me sometimes) bonkers.
Especially heartwarming and the most amazing moments were because some of Little Miss' birth family were able to come and share the day with us. The most precious moments embedded in my mind include Little Miss making eye contact with her birth mom while singing on the altar and initiating the sign of the peace with her birth family. She was beaming in a way that is somewhat indescribable.
It's hard for me to articulate how grateful I am for these memories. They were amazing.
So many precious moments and we are lucky to have some of them even caught on camera, making it a sure thing that we will have them as part of our hearts forever.
"Some moments are nice, some are nicer, some are even worth writing about."
